Rosa Mae Taylor began this life journey on August 6, 1959 to the union of W.H Taylor and Annie Lou Taylor in Wrightsville, GA.
Because of her deep roots she was devoted to following Gods plan and accepted Christ at an early age. She united with China Temple Holliness Church, where she enjoyed attending regularly.
Rosa was educated in the Johnson County Public School System and was a 1979 graduate of Johnson County High School. She followed the plan God had for her which showed in her daily life. Rosa was an Independent, loving and had a free hearted spirt . She never met a stranger and was known for her encouraging words to others. She enjoyed making other feel confident in themself.
She was employed with Apparel Brand for many years.
Rosa was United in holy matrimony to Charles Benton, Sr. to this union three children were born. She possessed her own style and enjoyed spending quality time with her children, family and friends. Learning the Bible and being able to understand Gods plan for all was one of her all time favorites.
In her 59th season of life, Rosa received her blessing of immortality on Tuesday February 26, 2019. She was welcomed home by her father W. H Taylor; a sister, Vera Cannon, an Uncle, Joe Brown; and aunt, Gladier Stephens.
Her memories will forever live in the hearts of her two sons, Charles E. Benton, Jr. and Torrain L. Benton both of Haine City, FL.; and one daughter, Whitney Benton of Wrightsville, GA; her mother, Annie Lou Taylor of Wrightsville, GA.; brothers, W.L (Betty) Taylor, Henry (Eola) Taylor both of Wrightsville, GA., Reverend Joe C. (Willie Mae) Taylor of Dublin, GA., Elder Jimmy (Patricia) Taylor of Tennille, GA., Otis (Mary) Taylor of Tennille, GA. Sammy Carswell of Wrightsville, GA.; sisters, Elder Sally Roberson of Tennile, GA., Annie Ola Taylor, Kathy (Terry) Taylor both of Wrightsville, GA.; and a host of nieces, nephews, neighbors, friends and the Knots Landing Community.
A Celebration of Life Service for Ms. Taylor will be held on Saturday March 2, 2019 at 12:00 Noon at the Wrightsville Church of Nazarene, 155 Lakeview Drive, Wrightsville, GA. with Reverend James Blair, Sr., Eulogist. Ms. Taylor will lie instate at the church from 11:00 A.M. until the hour of the service. There will be no viewing after the eulogy. Internment will follow in the Mount Pleasant Church Cemetery, Wrightsville, GA.
Public Visitation will be held on Friday March 1, 2019 from Noon until 8:00 P.M. at the Funeral Home.
