WRIGHTSVILLE, GA

Mr. Allen Strickland was born on July 4, 1956 to the parentage of Mr. Ira and Mrs. Annie Stickland in Wrightsville (Johnson County), GA. He attended the public school system of Johnson County. He was united in matrimony to the late Mrs. Lizzie Strickland. Allen was a retired Logger and was employed with Keyton Logging.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Lizzie Strickland; his father, Ira Strickland; four brothers, Mr. Horace Strickland, Mr. Josh Strickland, Mr. Joe Strickland and Mr. Ira Stickland, Jr; three sisters, Ms. Alice Strickland, Ms. Betty Stickland and Ms. Lennie Mae Strickland.

Mr. Allen Strickland, departed this earthly life of Friday July 10, 2020 at the Wrightsville Manor Nursing Home. He will be truly missed.

Because love is far greater than death, he leaves to cherish fond memories; his mother, Mrs. Annie Maude Strickland of Wrightsville, GA; four sisters, Ms. Virginia Strickland of Wrightsville, Ms. Para Lee Stone of St. Petersburge, FL, Ms. Annie Lee Strickland, Ms. Gloria Strickland both of Wrightsville, GA; two brothers, Mr. Roy (Charlene) Strickland and Mr. John Strickland both of Wrightsville, GA; a devoted caregivers, Mrs. Stephanie (Marion) Carswell and Ms. Gayle Stickland all of Wrightsville, GA; a host of grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Public Visitation for Mr.Allen Stickland will be held on Wednesday July 15, 2020 from 12:00 Noon until 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home.

A Private Graveside for immediate family, will be held on Thursday July 16, 2020 at the Sand Hill Baptist Church Cemetery, 1780 Gumlog Road, Wrigthsville, GA 31096.

Services will be viewed LIVE via The Official Facebook Page of Wrightsville Memorial Funeral Home.

Due to the COVID-19 crisis with the concern of health and safety of the family, friends and community social distancing will be enforced.
