WRIGHTSVILLE, GA -
Mr. David Joel Carter was born into time on January 3, 1954 to the parentage of Mr. W.C. Carter and Mrs. Juanita Carter in Dublin, GA. After completing high school, he enlisted into the United States Marine Corps and was honorable discharged as Corporal.
Joel was of the Christian Faith. He enjoyed music in all forms. One of Joel's all time favorites was playing the drums. He was an active member of The American Legion. Joel was a lover of animals, and enjoyed the company of his pet dog, Buddy.
He was preceded in death by both parents; and a brothers, James Carter. On October 27, 2020, at the age of 66, Joel passed away peacefully in his sleep at his residence in Wrightsville, GA.
Joel leaves to cherish his memories, his wife, Mrs. Lynn Carter of Wrens, GA; two daughters, Amber Carter of Swainsboro, GA and Autumn (Raymond) Sapp of Cochran, GA; a granddaughter, Addelyn Hudson of Swainsboro,GA; one sister, Jeannie Carter of Wrightsville, GA; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A Graveside Service of Remembrance Honoring The Life of Mr. David "Joel" Carter will be held on Monday November 9, 2020 at 12:00 noon at the Andersonville National Cemetery, 760 POW Rd, Andersonville, GA 31711. Pastor Fred Reese, Eulogist. Final salute with military honors.
