Thomas Mathew Holmes

Thomas M. Holmes was born into time on August 12, 1946 to the parentage of John P. and Loretta J Holmes in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. 

He attended the Pittsburgh Public School District and was a high school graduate. Thomas had a strong will and desire to serve his country, he enlisted in the United States Marines. He was a Vietnam War Veteran.

Thomas was of the Christian faith. He attended worship service regularly until his health declined.  

In his 73rd season of life, Thomas passed from this life to eternity at his residence surrounded by his family. He was preceded in death by his parents.  

He was a "different" kind of individual but was dearly loved by his family. Thomas enjoyed watching his favorite baseball team play (Atlanta Braves). He hardly missed any of their games. 

Memories will linger in the hears of his loving and devoted wife, Susan Holmes of Covington, GA; children, Stephen Holmes of Covington, GA, Brian (Blair) Holmes of Washington, DC and Justin Holmes of Covington, Georgia; four grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends.

A Celebration of Life Service of Remembrance will be shared on Tuesday March 31, 2020 at the hour of 1:00 P.M. at the Holmes Residence, Covington, Georgia 30016. A private interment will follow at a later date. 

Due to the COVID-19 crisis with the concern of health and safety of the family, friends and community the family has limited services during this time and will celebrate his life with immediate family. LIVE SCREAMING of the service will be published at a later date.
